Needs at the Historical Society Village

Volunteers to help plan and set up displays, some items need to be identified to know what they are and what they are used for. Help work in a garden or just help weed and plant at the museum gardens. The Village is run by members of the Society and volunteers from the Master Gardeners and any one old or young in Bridgeport can help. All our work is done by unpaid volunteers.
We are a small group and getting older and could use more help in all areas of the village. We could use new members willing to help us keep the village a success.
We have men who help fix things up around the place, as small as change a light bulb to build a new building. We need people to help with projects in the school house, fire hall, our summer concerts Tuesdays from July thru Aug. and Farm and Flea markets every Thursday June through September and other places. We would appreciate new members, help on committees, work on the gardens, and display planning and setting up. If you have some time, hours or more often, any time is helpful.
We have a good time and enjoy the work and think others would too. We are open to new ideas and old ones as well. If you can help call the museum at 777-5230 or Diane at 777-2301. Hope to see you at the Historical Village.              President,  Diane McCartney
